About Women’s drum and cacao ceremony Highgate - London

Katie offers women’s drum and cacao ceremony in Highgate, North London. A Women’s drum and cacao ceremony offers a dedicated space for women to gather, connect, and share in the gentle warmth of cacao alongside the rhythm of drumming. The ceremony is held with reverence and intention, creating a container where participants can reconnect with themselves and with one another in a supportive group setting.

As the cacao is shared, it works gently to open the heart, while the drum brings rhythm and presence into the circle. Because the ceremony draws on both plant medicine and ritual, it invites a layered experience of grounding, reflection, and connection to the Sacred Feminine. Many women find that the combination of sound and cacao supports a deep sense of belonging within the group.

Is hapé suitable for everyone?

Hapé (also called rapé) is a traditional Amazonian snuff made mainly from mapacho tobacco and tree ash. It contains strong nicotine, which can raise heart rate and blood pressure, so it isn’t suitable for everyone. Please don’t take hapé if you are:

  • pregnant or breastfeeding, or under 18
  • living with high blood pressure, a heart condition, epilepsy or a seizure disorder
  • living with severe asthma or another significant lung, nasal or sinus condition
  • taking antidepressants (such as MAOIs or SSRIs), stimulants, or medication that affects your heart or blood pressure

Hapé can make you feel light-headed, so you’ll stay seated during and after, and you shouldn’t drive straight afterwards. If you take prescription medication or manage a long-term health condition, please consult your doctor or a clinician experienced in plant medicines before taking part. Please tell Katie about any health conditions or medication when you book. You’re always welcome to join the cacao part of the ceremony without hapé.

About Katie

My Shamanic Journey – Katiane Moura I am Katiane Moura, a woman who has always been deeply connected to spirituality. My shamanic journey began after I attended a spiritual retreat in Glastonbury, Avalon. It was there that I experienced a profound awakening to the Sacred Feminine and discovered the Sisterhood of the Roses of Mary Magdalene. During that same retreat, I met a female shaman who told me that I would become a shaman and that one day I would consecrate the sacred medicines. From that moment on, something within me began to awaken. I felt called to explore and learn more about the sacred medicines of the forest. The first medicine I experienced was Rapé made with Jurema. That day, something within me changed. The experience was deeply transformative, bringing me a profound sense of healing and connection. I felt immense gratitude for this sacred medicine, and my heart became deeply connected to Rapé. This experience inspired me to study Hapé more deeply and understand its traditions, spirituality, and sacred purpose. I later embarked on a shamanic journey with the Huni Kuin people, the Txaná, where I was baptised through the sacred breath of Rapé. This experience marked an important moment in my spiritual path. Since then, I have continued to deepen my knowledge and connection with this sacred practice, offering Rapé blessings and ceremonies with reverence, intention, and love. Through this work, I seek to create a sacred space where people can reconnect with themselves, cultivate mental clarity, find grounding, and deepen their spiritual connection. For me, this path is not simply a practice; it is a calling of the heart, a journey of devotion, gratitude, and service. I honour the sacred medicines of the forest, the ancestral traditions that carry their wisdom, and every person who comes to this path with an open heart. My journey continues, guided by love, humility, and a deep respect for the sacred.
