About Cacao ceremony and Hape in Bisley, Woking - Surrey

Cacao Ceremony and Hape

Katie offers cacao ceremony and hape in Bisley, Woking. A cacao ceremony with Hape brings together two plant medicines long honoured for their grounding and heart-opening qualities. The session opens with ceremonial cacao, a warming drink traditionally used to soften the heart and settle the mind. Afterwards, Hape, a sacred plant snuff, is offered as a blessing to bring focus and presence into the space.

Together, these two medicines create a container for reflection, release and connection. Because the ceremony moves at a gentle, intentional pace, there is plenty of time to settle into the experience rather than rush through it. Many people come seeking mental clarity or a sense of grounding, while others simply want a quiet space to reconnect with themselves away from daily distractions.

  • Ceremonial cacao to open the heart and senses
  • Hape offered with intention and respect for its traditions
  • A calm, held space for reflection and connection
  • Suitable for both individuals and small groups

This is a group-capable session, so it suits those wishing to share the experience with others as much as those coming alone. Either way, the ceremony is guided with care from start to finish.

Cacao Ceremony and Hape Sessions in Bisley, Woking, Surrey

Sessions take place in Bisley, Woking, Surrey, in a calm and professional setting suited to this kind of work. The space is prepared thoughtfully so that each person can settle in without distraction. As a result, the ceremony unfolds at its own pace, allowing everyone present to feel properly held throughout.

Because the setting is intimate, numbers are kept manageable, and the atmosphere stays personal even within a group. This makes it a good fit for those new to cacao and Hape, as well as anyone already familiar with ceremonial work who wants to return to the practice in Surrey.

What to Expect During a Cacao Ceremony and Hape Session

The session runs for 180 minutes and costs £45, giving enough time to move through each stage without feeling rushed. First, you will be welcomed into the space and introduced to the intention behind the ceremony. Then the cacao is shared, followed by the Hape blessing, with space held between each part for integration.

During the ceremony, you might notice a sense of warmth, openness or emotional release as the cacao takes effect. Afterwards, many people describe feeling grounded, clear-headed and calm. Because the pace is unhurried, there is room to simply sit with whatever arises rather than move straight on.

As the session is group-capable, it works well whether you attend solo or bring others along. Either way, the structure stays the same: a considered, respectful journey through both medicines.

Is hapé suitable for everyone?

Hapé (also called rapé) is a traditional Amazonian snuff made mainly from mapacho tobacco and tree ash. It contains strong nicotine, which can raise heart rate and blood pressure, so it isn’t suitable for everyone. Please don’t take hapé if you are:

  • pregnant or breastfeeding, or under 18
  • living with high blood pressure, a heart condition, epilepsy or a seizure disorder
  • living with severe asthma or another significant lung, nasal or sinus condition
  • taking antidepressants (such as MAOIs or SSRIs), stimulants, or medication that affects your heart or blood pressure

Hapé can make you feel light-headed, so you’ll stay seated during and after, and you shouldn’t drive straight afterwards. If you take prescription medication or manage a long-term health condition, please consult your doctor or a clinician experienced in plant medicines before taking part. Please tell Katie about any health conditions or medication when you book. You’re always welcome to join the cacao part of the ceremony without hapé.

About Katie

My Shamanic Journey – Katiane Moura I am Katiane Moura, a woman who has always been deeply connected to spirituality. My shamanic journey began after I attended a spiritual retreat in Glastonbury, Avalon. It was there that I experienced a profound awakening to the Sacred Feminine and discovered the Sisterhood of the Roses of Mary Magdalene. During that same retreat, I met a female shaman who told me that I would become a shaman and that one day I would consecrate the sacred medicines. From that moment on, something within me began to awaken. I felt called to explore and learn more about the sacred medicines of the forest. The first medicine I experienced was Rapé made with Jurema. That day, something within me changed. The experience was deeply transformative, bringing me a profound sense of healing and connection. I felt immense gratitude for this sacred medicine, and my heart became deeply connected to Rapé. This experience inspired me to study Hapé more deeply and understand its traditions, spirituality, and sacred purpose. I later embarked on a shamanic journey with the Huni Kuin people, the Txaná, where I was baptised through the sacred breath of Rapé. This experience marked an important moment in my spiritual path. Since then, I have continued to deepen my knowledge and connection with this sacred practice, offering Rapé blessings and ceremonies with reverence, intention, and love. Through this work, I seek to create a sacred space where people can reconnect with themselves, cultivate mental clarity, find grounding, and deepen their spiritual connection. For me, this path is not simply a practice; it is a calling of the heart, a journey of devotion, gratitude, and service. I honour the sacred medicines of the forest, the ancestral traditions that carry their wisdom, and every person who comes to this path with an open heart. My journey continues, guided by love, humility, and a deep respect for the sacred.
